[GRLUG] Moving T'bird from Linux to Mac

My Dell XPS running Linux has gone bad. I’m transferring to a Mac Monterey until I can get it fixed. 
I can’t seem to get Thunderbird on the Mac (new install of T’bird) to recognize my old profile that I got from my rdiff-backup of the XPS.

I’ve tried to get rid of all the excess stuff in the ~/Library/Thunderbird file that the installation creates and have replaced the installs.ini file and the profiles.ini file with the ones from the Linux backup. But Thunderbird tells me it can’t find my profile.

My ~/Library/Thunderbird directory looks like this:

The installs.ini file has this now:

I’ve tried deleting all the items that didn’t come from the Linux installation but for some reason they keep popping up after I try to open Thunderbird. It’s like T’bird is reloading into the file.

Does anyone know what I need to do to get this to work? Instructions online make it sound easy and don’t indicate any of these problems, as far as I’ve seen.
